Just bought my 2004 FWD Vibe with 40k miles a few days ago. Got a great deal and have 210 in payments over 48 months. Not bad for a certified used, I think.Salesman should have mentioned there was a web community for the car, I would have felt much more relaxed about the whole thing. That said, I really do love the hell out of my car Anywho, I've still got to put in Sirius, disable DRL's and find an auxillary port (would rather not replace the head unit, but a light is out so I will if I have to. If anyone is selling one of the center-console aux adapters, let me know). Also, hi!

Also, hi!With "Certified Used" I assume you get some additional warranty - right?Don't assume the salesman was even familiar with GenVibe.

I'll post pics soon, I promise. As for now I need to get the correct kit for getting my new 1-din radio into the 2-din space in my dash. Searches tell me the metra 99-8205 is the ticket, am I right about that?
Finally took some pictures. I really love this car. I have a 1-Din radio sitting in a 2-Din hole. I have the adapter kit coming.I put my Sirius in. Sort of an unorthodox spot, but I rarely change the channel and don't want it sticking out of the dash. I like it.Listening to the radio today, I couldn't get rid of the feeling that something didn't sound right. Playing around, I realized the front speakers don't work.At least I found out before the adapter came and was installed
Welcome! and nice pics.good luck with the speakers, I'd probably make sure that your fade isn't set to just the rear speakers on the HU, and then I would test the wires toverify that the speakers are hooked up and working (or not working)... if you don't hear anything out of the fronts after checking the wires, then you'll get the fun of pulling the panels off the doors... if that all seems fine maybe it's the HU itself... Just throwing out some idea's...
The fade is how I tested it. My current theory is that we simply spliced the wrong wires together for the wiring harness - altogether possible, considering it was done at midnight in a Walmart parking lot.Of course, I won't find out until I attack it tonight. I'll update.
