Looks great. I thought those were adjustable shower curtain rods. Having the spring loaded rod might help keep it tight against the side plastic.

I did it this way for weight. It can hold at least 50lbs.I took the pictures from the one the guy on Ebay sells for like $100 and made my own version. I am not sure how he made the cover itself one piece though cause mine would not fit that way. The split makes it easier to move and store

This is an addition for ReadingTeacher:I took the conduit and cut it to size to fit snug in the bay over the metal rings in the hatch. I actually too the rear set of rings and unscrewed them to turn them upside down so they open down instead of up. I screwed in the self tapping metal screws with washers enough of a distance in from the edge of the conduit pieces to allow for good tension with the bungees. Did that to all 4 ends. Then I took the rubber caps and shaved them down to fit in the cargo rings better. If I did it over I would have gotten that heat shrink stuff for the end caps instead. But it works for me fine. I hooked up all the bungees according to the pictures, they don't hold any weight just mainly for stabilization. The plywood I cut to size from the template and used spray adhesive, then put the carpet over, cut it to fit over the edges and glued and stapled it in place underneath. Once done I went back and sprayed everything black to give it a more pleasing and finished look when it was stored away.One great thing about having two pieces instead of one like the Ebay guys is that then I am using the full cargo area and have the seats down, I can please these on the hard plastic to protect it from scraping and scratching. The construction is not too difficult, I'd give it two hammers, just takes a little tool knowledge and patience. I was very big into DIY work on my cars, especially when I had my Saturn.
