remove plastic cap on tensioner

Post by danthurs »

Was working on a good friends vibe yesterday and I was going to change the acc belt. But there's a plastic cap over the pulley. Is there a trick to get this off? Had a hard time getting my arm in there.

Ahh, I see now. I assumed the bolt to remove the belt was on the pulley. Thanks, that helped a lot.

The pdf seems like a literal translation of the Japanese? "2. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT(a) Turn the V–ribbed belt tensioner slowly clockwise andloosen it. Then, remove the fan and generator V belt andput back the V–ribbed belt tensioner little by little and fixit quietly."

The Japanese are very polite. They don't want to disturb the nieghbors.
