Screw clip things....

when taking off the plastic engine cover i succeeded in breaking the two plastic clip things that mount it to the motor ( they are the rear most screw/clip thingys ) i whent to pull them straight out and the heads broke off. any help in where to find these or what i should do?

I'd try a Toyota dealer and then a GM dealer. I can't remeber what they look like but if they're kind of generic, Advance Auto, Pep Boys etc.

my back two have been broken off for years; some mechanic must have busted them off along the way. I pay no attention to it. I don't see the harm in leaving them. Anyone disagree?

Mine are broken too. It isn't a big deal. The cover is still attached on the front of the cover. There isn't any danger with it jumping off unless you take the nuts off the front of the cover and drive around on bumpy roads with the hood up.

i work for a gm dealer and just got 2 to replace mine. my cost was 6 buck a pop. so ya ouch......
