will 09 head unit fit an 05

Post by soldier »

I love the 2009 factory cd changer head unit. Does anyone know if I could make it fit in a 2005. Any help appreciated. Also I just joined and am in the proses of fixing up my wives 05 vibe. I ordered body kit, fenders, spoiler, custom hood, and will have the whole car repainted with house of colors paint, with k&n air filter and ralco rz underdrive pulleys.

There could be some wiring issues as well, not 100% but we can figure it out eventually.. You'd be far better off with an aftermarket unit though.. I mean you can do just about anything these days with them.. They sound a heck of a lot better to.. Welcome to GV BTW... !!It'll be interesting to see what you've got going... pics please.. lol..

ALSO, not sure does the 09 changer have MP3 capability? I know the previous changers did not (mine from 06)If not you really would be better off with A.M. you could get something with MP3 and USB then then you could have FAR more music than what the changer would have on 6 discs.

Thanks guys, I think I will just get an aftermarket one for it. That sounds easier. Also I have all the parts ordered for it they will be here this week and then I have the appointment to have them installed and the car painted on Monday the 22nd and he said it will take 2 weeks. When it is done I will submit some pics
