How would this work? Flip Flop Trunk Conversion for Vibe

Post by Kamikaze »

I was bored and decided to search vibe stuff on Ebay.. I came across a post for a flip flop Trunk.. I know the general concept, and thougth about doing it on my civic when I had it but... how could this work on a hatch? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...oriesMaybe it flips it so the hatch opens upside down, that would be awesome, a built in ramp and you can destroy your hatch too! (Oh and btw I'm posting this because I think it's retarded)

i saw this on a cobalt at the SS meet a couple years ago...horrible mod. Less access to the trunk and its always in the way. What it would do would be instead of opening like it currently does, it would slide up and kind of open.

Yeah, and you would have instead of being able to get into the back you'd just see the tail lifted and directly in the way!I can't believe a company would post this for a vibe... do they even know what a Vibe is?

I thought maybe it turned the hatch into a tailgate - still not very useful given the hatch design.

That's about as useful as turning a car into a transformer

You wanna make it trick, do a double open. Have the top glass open up and the bottom hatch open down like a tailgate. Wait do the pre 09's even allow for a flip open glass? I always forget.

yeah the pre09s had the rear hatch glass that opened. I had mine open the other day while I was hauling a rear bumper.
