I guess after five hundred emails from GM and GM Card giving me thousands of reasons to buy a car, a man can only expect to have so much resistance before he caves and goes to a dealer, right?got a great deal a new daily driver. G5 couple, 5 spd manual. 2 options: my link and a spare tire.what is it with me and silver pontiacs?also considered a 09 vibe, but there were only two manuals in the bay area, one 2.4L that didn't have steering wheel radio controls (that's a deal breaker ladies) and a black GT and the G5 has bluetooth, ipod/USB and gets slightly better gas mileage (still not sure how that happens) and was cheaper, so i went with the G5. with rebates and max'ing out my GM card earnings over the allowance, well, let me just say that i kinda stole it.anyway, just wanted to share with my good friends here at genvibe (which is still the best auto forum site on the planet) and say thanks to all you, the owners of GM (soon).the solstice is officially a garage queen and may be headed for mod-status. sad to see that car go. sad to see pontiac go, really, but that is a whole other thread.have a good weekend.jeff

Wait....you have a Solstice too? How come we never saw pics?! I saw a nice G6 today on my way to work. I think it said "Flex Fuel" on the back and was a color I could only describe as like green jade. It might have been a rental. I couldn't take my eyes off of it, it was just so unusual.Congrats, and thanks for keeping it in the family!

no, the XFE is only if you get the 15" wheels with bolt ons and low resistance tires.for some reason, ???, the my link package comes with 16" alloy wheels. maybe they help with the bluetooth range? i dunno. it is weird. the mylink package adds 16" and ABS on a manual.but you only lose 2mpg on the highway.so far so good. but the trunk logo is on crooked thanks for the note!
