Can anyone help, I bought a set of 17" TRD rims and want some center caps - figured it was as simple as picking up some Pontiac ones for a G6/G5/SV6 whatever but I bought a set on EBay and tehy are too small,, the ones that I found on all the other Pontiacs are 2.25" and the TRD cap needs to be a 2.5" - thinking the '09 GT may work...anyone GT folks can confirm ?Thanks
yeah I had this same problem when trying to find pontiac center caps for some matrix wheels I wanted. I'm pretty sure the only way you can have those center caps is with 17" pontiac wheels. There's the option of just using toyota caps.
What do the Toyota center caps look like? If there is a raised logo like on the Pontiac ones I wonder if you could sand it down to the center caps would just be smooth? Just tossing an idea out there. I don't know if it would work or not, but you never know.

You can see pictures of them @ centercaps.netI suppose you could sand is down the emblem with a dremel tool and sandpaper...not sure if its metal or plastic. Since I've never done this, I'm not sure how easy this is. There's a chance you could just end up destroying the center caps to where they look terrible but, if done carefully I think there's a good chance it can be done.. Why what is your idea? just want to paint them?
The set of Pontiac Chromed ones at 2.25" (too small) is a plastic inner and an aluminum outside cover that has 4 tabs that wraps around the shoulder of the plastic - so if the Toy's are similarly made there ain't no sanding... I may just get a set of Toy caps not sure yet will continue to look around,, I think the Pontiac Acadia has larger center holes I will check those or the Pontiac Solstice may work... thanks for the advice...
