Hello,About a month ago I found a 2004 Vibe on craigslist and ended up getting it for my girlfriend for $2600. It is Neptune Blue, automatic transmission, and has a couple little dings in it. It has 150,000 miles but runs great and doesn't leak anything. She has cleaned it up (was sooooo filthy) and I found a Cosmo CAI on ebay for 47 bucks and put it on. When I bought it the driver's window was wedged up and did not move at all, so I took it to Pontiac for the recall and was able to convince them that the recall issue caused the internal damage to the regulator. They finally agreed and replaced the window and regulator. I only had to pay $30 for getting the window glass overnighted. I have read quite a bit of information on this site and I'm sure I will be reading a lot more. Overall I think this is a pretty good car and I think I got a very good deal for $2600. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Talk with you all later.
Good job on the recall fix! Shows that you can still depend on GM to follow through on some things.Better post some pictures of your new 04 Vibe soon. There are forum-istas here that have absolutely no patience. They will hound you for those pictures without mercy.Sounds like you made a good purchase. Congrats!

welcome, I'm a newbie too. Speaking of girlfriends, mine also has a 2004 Neptune. She got hers with only 16k on it but it cost her $14,000. I liked hers so much that I went out and got me a 2003 Salsa red. $2600!!! yes you got a deal I think even tho it's got 150,000k on it. Mine cost me $7,000 but it only had 57,000k and it's pretty cherry. I'm in process of putting a killer sound system in it, see my post about installing a 2005 monsoon factory sub. Hope ya'll like your Viber as much as we love ours!

Well, It is a little of a work in progress. I need to replace the passenger door handle, passenger side foglight, and passenger side roof rack rear cover. Here's the pics....
The guy said the tailpipe was factory, I don't really know, and the hitch is uhaul I believe. Not sure that I will ever make use of it, but its nice to have the option to do so. The postings I read here on the bulbs used in the car and disassembly of the center console were very useful. I had to replace the little bulb which illuminates the P R D etc. by the gear selector. That was a pain to get to, but much easier with instructions and pictures.
Looks good! Yeah, the exhaust tip was a factory option, as in your 2-tone Neptune, and my base Neptune, and on our base Frosty it was part of the Sport Package. EDIT:
