how do you adjust parking brake??

just got my 03 vibe gt,,got new brakes all round but my parking brake aint working that great,,,it pulls all the way to the top,,how do they adjust???by going in reverse??by pulling the hand brake numerous times???or does it have to be manually adjusted at the rear caliper??thanks pete

When i replaced my rear drums they looked like every other rear drum setup i've ever seen and the driving in reverse and pulling the e-brake was always the method to tighten them up so i would "assume" that's the same practice for the Vibe, but don't know for sure.

There are 2 different adjustments that I know of. One is at the handle itself and the other is through a little rubber plug in the rear rotor. I'll try to attach both solutions to this response.I didn't do the handle adjustment since I had done a complete Rotor/Pad replacement. It seems to be the easiest solution. Only do the Shoe Adjustment if you're comfortable with such tasks.Dave
