New here....

Post by petervibe »

I bought this 06 Vibe for my wife , as replacement for the 91 Accord. After a search of over a year, found one in Hollywood Fl. just like I wanted it(for my wife) white with sunroof( which she did not care for ) Its a standard model with 70k well taken care of, but far from perfect. It was wll priced i think 7800 drive out. I noticed it had 205/60 and michel in front and Bridgestones at the rear!. We picked it up last Having owned an older 911 for the last 5+ years, the vibe really handles well. I have gotten a bit attached (to my wives car) If I can get away with it I would like to lower it. Will I get a worse ride? or will I get the same sturdy ride plus better handling ? I certainly don't want to be bouncing as i drive down the road . ! LOL after all its my wives car !!! It is a KOOL little ride !! any input would be welcomed ,thanks ;

welcome to the club! if you're looking to lower, i'll recommend a set of eibach prokits -- not agrressive and the ride, imo, is better (firm) than the stock springs without being bouncy..

Lowering springs is awesome for handling a little rougher ride, but not bad Welcome!

Hi,Welcome to the forum.Reading your posts it seems like you purchased the car YOU wanted for your wife. It would be interesting to hear what car SHE really wanted!I say this because our 07 Vibe is "her" car but it is in all honesty our compromise car, I got more of what I wanted than she got. She wanted the bigger Toyota FJ Cruiser, I wanted great gas mileage among other differences of opinion.I must add that we are both very happy with our Vibe and have no regrets.Dave

Dave, thanks for your reply, yes SHE realy wanted a "new" beatle, but we realized they where a bit more pricy, and less practical. We have a flower shop in Largo Fl. and can use the Vibe for the smaller orders,and more, the Windstar for the larger orders(also white). We are parcial to white.
