New painted heat-shield pics :D

Post by Geo »

Once again, I was bored.I had a VIBE emblem sitting in my room, from when I had my doors painted and decided to put them on the heatsheid itself. Why? it looks cool I also hand-painted my VVT-i and 16 Valve emblems with silver paint, and while not perfect, I like how they turned out. I'll probably be replacing this entire thing later on anyways, so little mistakes now will be fixed in the final version!

Plasti-kote paint on silver paint, and some Farm and Fleet oriental red spray paint.I'll use engine paint next time and clear-coat it as well :D

Was it enamel paint, or just flat out paint paint?

Lookin good man... Just wait and see if that paint bakes off over time. If not just leave it the way it is.

I have no idea ... sandblast it back down to plastic, or order a new heatshield for $30.I have since gotten rid of my headshield - I have something special on the way to replace it

depends on how bad the paint is. if it's not too bad, you can sand it down alittle. then primer it, seal it, paint it, and clear it.... if you click on my cardomain link and go to page 6, i posted what i did when i painted mine. i repainted over the previous paint.
