No more R/C looking antenna!

Post by Lancer »

I was sorta harrasing the Toyota dearlership last week by driving up and down their rows and a sales person was showing a lady the Matrix. So I reved the engine a little and she was checking out my car pretty bad. Maybe enough to get her to change her mind. Anyway, I noticed the antenna on an S2000 looked a lot better then the bumbercar lookin' whip on the Vibe so I ordered on for $19. Now the back end looks a lot better.

Reception is about the same. I mostly listen to CD's. The stations I listen to come in nice and clear so it's good enough for me. Yup only $19 and some change + sales tax to total $20.34 Part #39151-S2H-E01 Got it @ Sud's Toyota in Sheboygan, WI.

Cathy had the silver/chrome one from Ptuning.com She did say the reception sucked big time, but didn't matter because she has satellite radio

I actually like our antenna. I think it's cute. But I am considering an aftermarket AM/FM signal amplifer...just because in my area, signals are week...Anyone have one they can recommend?

I am considering the antenna like CaCathy13 has as well. I just wonder how bad local stations come in when your in town.

quote:Who listens to the radio anyway? I do. Would get XM but just can't come to terms with another utility bill. The reception in my vibe with the stock radio and antenna are the best I've had in a car. Only stations where antennas don't matter here are are formats I don't like. I wouldn't take the reception hit, and I also think the original antenna looks better than the stubby one.

Sorry to stay off topic, but ... quote:I'd learn...I haven't bought a CD in two year...Go KAZAA! And I hardly ever listen to the radio! Got this thru work last week as warning to not run music sharing softare on company computers:"The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) said it will beginsearching Internet file-sharing networks today to identify music fans whooffer substantial collections of MP3 song files for downloading. It expectsto file at least several hundred lawsuits seeking financial damages withineight to ten weeks. If you are running any file sharing software for music downloads (ie.,Napster, Kazaa, etc.) on your (company name) computer, you must remove itimmediately. While use of this software has always been against (company name) policy,it is now also a criminal offense."

What you need to do in that case is make sure that you do NOT share ANY files - just become a leech. Many MANY users of Kazaa with the huge music libraries are from overseas, and the farkin' RIAA can't do shiat to them.Look for a program called "Kazaa Hack" it gives you a "Kazaa God" level without ever having to share anything. It's what I use, and allows me to just be a leech ;D

I use Kazaa light, that is the Kazaa format and sharing program but without the spyware and advertising crap. I have it set to not share since I store all my media files on a portable drive that is not always on.
