So guys I know you've been over and over the drl's and auto headlights posts, with different methods to fix it and snip this wire here and that wire there and you'll have fogs on all the time. I've looked at a few posts and I'm thinking of trying to wire the fogs as the drl's. I've been thinking the parking lights might look good as drl's or maybe just put an amber bulb in the fogs. Give it that solstice/corvette/trans am look...http://images.gmhightechperfor...m.jpgAnybody got ideas for how to go about wiring it so that the fogs, (or parking lights) are under full-power, receiving the drl's signal, but without the headlights at low power (no more traditional drl's)? This might be a joke to try something like this but I figure if someone's got the knowledge I'd like to hear it. Thanks, Kreager07 Vibe
It's been done... there is a how to on 9th gen http://www.9thgencorolla.com/f...29581 I have a pair of relays wired up so the fogs will go off with the high beams (along with a switch to disable that too). I just need to install it. First I should figure out why my fogs no longer work...

have to be logged in to see that last post.and what did you want to do? have the fogs as DRL? what about during the night? fogs and normals? just normals? do you want automatic lights?
actually. this is very easy because of that last DRL mod (yeah i need to finish my writeup) i did. you will need to make a few cuts and splices. cut wire 6 on the DRL Module and put the drl side of the cut and splice it with wire 2 on the fog relay. this way you will have manual control at night over the fogs, and they will activate during the day. you will then need to splice the other end of wire 6 to 14. this way you will retain manual control of the head lamps and tail lights, and also retain your automatic lights.i may just have to do this also! just to mod my DRL some more.
