Finally!! Eibach Pro-Kit installed

Post by bull77 »

So after 3 years and 100,000km I finally lowered the Vibe. Picked up these springs from a member on MO and had them installed on Sunday. I'm expecting the car to drop a little more in the next couple weeks. Before:After:

Looks Awesome! Just the right amount of drop. it's about time...lol. Remember to get an alignment after they have settled in a couple weeks.

My only problem with the Eibach kit is that while it makes the car look great, it doesn't make it appear "dropped". But thats just me. I'm sure your ride is a lot better than mine lol! Car looks great, keep it up.

i used the term "lowered" loosely...lol. I didn't want to get it dropped more than a 1.5" since we still lug around alot of stuff with the Vibe. It's barely noticeable but you can definately feel the difference when turning and braking. the ride so far feels smoother than stock.

you would be suprised at how much you could lug around when lowered.I recently carried an 800lb kitchen set in the back of the vibe. I'm lowered on canuck springs and the car road just fine i didn't rub (which i was worried about) and it only lowered the vibe about 1/4inch. lol

Try that on a set of H-techs Going by the 'stock' height on Matrix Owners, I had a 2.5/2.25" drop - much lower than Tein claims. I'm waiting for the stock springs to settle before remeasuring my height. I went back to stock for the same reason he listed... If I had gone with the Pro-Kit in the first place, I would probably still be lowered...

Cool! I just picked up a set of these online for $60 shipped I will be using my stock struts until they start to give out. I don't imagine that the 1.2" drop that these springs give will put too much strain on the stock struts.

Congrats Bull!! The Eibach is the street spring of choice for the Mazda community also.Claimed to be the best ride, and from my experience, you will get more drop over the course of a week or so.
