RIM launched a BlackBerry App store (similar to iTunes) for BlackBerry abusers (like me). I've got it downloaded onto my 'berry, but haven't installed it on my laptop yet. mobile.blackberry.com for your BlackBerryblackberry.com/appworld for your PC.

Thank you for the post. I will have to take a look at it for sure. I still have to purchase a microSD card for my curve before I start to download applications.

Another place for me to waste my battery time on, LOL.I love my BB Storm, got the 9530.Yeah the 9530 is whats sold in North America (Verizon down there, Telus and Bell up here). The 9500 is with Vodaphone in Europe. There are rumours of a GSM 9520 Storm coming...I loaned my Storm to a coworker yesterday to make a call in private. When he gave it back to me he said how much he really liked the interface with the button touch screen.

I installed the .122 OS from crackberry today, not released by my carrier verizon, but seems to work well. Differences are mostly invisible, but some nice improvements. One of the things that really bugged me was how hard it was to move the cursor back to fix a typo without just backspacing over the whole thing. Now just click in the text, you get this slider cross hair thing that you can easily slide around to highlight exactly where you want the cursor to be. Also, seems like the camera used to have a really long delay from when you hit the bitton until it actually took the picture, even blanked the screen during the wait, that seems much quicker now, and doesn't black the screen.built in browser still barfs on a genvibe thread, but that's what opera is for
I put .113 a few days back. My phone was knocked off the high top in the bar by the server and screen cracked. It was a big drop. So I went through my Assurion insurance and for a $50 deductible I got a brand new 9530. Best part is they only wanted the phone sent back. So now I have two chargers, two headphones, two batteries, two 8gb San cards. Not too shabby. I loaded up .113, I had .90 on my last Storm. What a difference. It is so much smoother and works like a charm. I also put the iberry Xtreme theme on it, works great. I have BerryBuzz where I can change my LED indicator color for email, test, BB message, call, missed call, etc. Then I also put the Reset/Pull app for free on there so I don't have to battery pull to reset and then the Storm Lock to keep my face from pressing buttons while talking. What service provider do you have joat? Bell has .122 official in Canada but VZW has not released any new updates since the .75, but Crackberry has a bunch and the .122 from what I understand for me is a few folders, not a full .exe file like .113 is. I am hopeful they will release a more official one soon, probably late spring.
Nice! I'm still running .109 which is a GREAT improvement from the released OS but still has some undesirable bugs. Sounds like .122 will take care of THAT.
I haven't done an upgrade yet. I'm still running on what Telus released with (.76). I don't really have any problems with it other than the slow camera.

I just upgraded to .122 mainly because I heard the camera was faster. Its way better (the camera that is) on .122 than .76. However everything else seems about the same.

Mine now drains completely within hours and it isn't even being used.

sorry I let your question hang for so long (half a year) hope you got it resolved. I'm on the latest 5.0.0.238 now, seems to be working pretty well, too soon to tell about battery life though. If you have BBM 5, scan this
Been on 5.0 for about a week. No crazy battey loss, the whole phone works a lot better, much faster response, flick scrolling, it just is better all around. The camera is a lot quicker too. My only gripe was the wallpaper showing white side bars but I fixed that:-set the layout to be 3 rows, Save it, then go back and set it to 2 or 1 or none. Save again. This keeps your wallpaper and when the phone is in landscape it is the plain black screen. The issue stemmed from themes designed for the old pre 5.0 so expect new ones to come out soon. All in all though I am much happier with the phone now. It actually works!
I upgraded to BBM 5.0 before the official version came out, but I haven't upgraded to the 5.0 OS. My carrier is still on .122 if you can believe it. Someday I'll do the 5.0 upgrade anyway though.

Do the official. I'm done with cracked upgrades cause my last one from .113 to .151 was horrid. The phone stalled, was so slow, it just got me aggravated. I went down to the official .147 from Verizon. Official 5.0 takes a good solid 30 minutes but man what a difference.I'm fond of the official upgrades cause it's plug and play, no download this, delete that file, and force it to run in your DM.
