Thought I would introduce myself and my new Vibe. I have had it for about 2 months and finally decided to register here. The car: 2004 GT, Charcoal (gray) monotone color, Moonroof, power everything, Cruise, 16" factory alloys. Love the car so far. Had it shipped from PA as there were none with the options I wanted here in MN for the right price. It had to be an 03 or 04 as I did not want the DBW. It also had to be the monotone color in either Silver or the Charcoal. It also had to be a manul shift. I needed something with a little more oomph as I got rid of My GTI with the VR6. I have looked at Vibes since they came out and just never pulled the trigger as the price was too high at the time. Now with 2 kids I needed something bigger to haul them in and the car I had before (1998 VW Golf) did not have any room behind my seat, as I am 6'6". So I traded in the Golf and sold my other VW GTI VR6 and took the money from both to get the used Vibe. I had to pay out about $1500 for the vibe so to me that was worth it.
Welcome to the group! You'll find this is a great forum filled with a bunch of great people. Except that we do get a little impatient when a new member is yet to show a picture of their new ride. Gets pretty darned ugly if you keep us waiting too long!Sounds like you found a fairly hard to find Vibe. GTs were not that plentiful as I started my search for a Vibe a couple of years ago. Great color choice, too. Did I mention we like Pictures?

The Vibe had 56,xxx miles on it when I bought it. I will post some pics when I get a chance. Not a lot of time with the two little ones. Plus living in the great white north (and by that I mean salt) the car does not look too pretty right now. It took forever to find this one. There were many a false starts with getting some other cars. The space in it is great. I do miss the power of the VR6 though. That car was pretty souped up and had about 180HP and 185 ft lbs of torque at the wheels. Thanks for all the welcomes. I have visted this site many times before I got the Vibe, doing research before I bought. Here is a pic from the dealer where I bought it.
I just got some new wheels for it yesterday. Motegi MR7's, 18x7.5. I will get some more pics up once they are on. Got a great deal on them at a swap meet. Hope they look good when on. Now only if it would stop snowing
