I have a decent size comic book collection, about 5,000 books or so I have collected over the years. They range in age from the late 60's to the mid 90's when I stopped buying new issues. My new obsession for collection has changed, or should I say switched gears, to anything and everything related to Harley-Davidson. I have a small but growing collection of artwork, books, coffee mugs, beer glasses, clothing, housewares, HD 1:18 scale bike models etc, not to mention my full size 2000 Harley Softail Deuce.

I've started to accumulate a variety of FOXES. I started a tradition with my wife that on valentines eve, the Valentine Fox would cleverly sneak into the house, and hide chocolates and mints. Many would be discovered on valentine day, but if the Fox was good, there would be one or two discovered every week for several months to follow.... In essence, making Valentine's day a year long adventure. So every time my wife or I see a fox... stuffed, ceramic, painting, etc.., we add it to the "collection". In fact, last V-day the local flower shop had an actual Valentine's Fox! He was dressed in red riding togs, with little hearts printed on the fabric of his clothes. So spread the word... On Valentine's Eve, V.Fox visits the homes of lovers, hiding little wrapped chocolates and mints throughout the house, in places so clever they'll take all year to be discovered.KSNeptune

Only one Mass - yes. Only one bug? I think so. I thought they were trying to do a different car for each state, but I cannot be sure of that.

Ahh, the joy of bringing an old thread back from the dead. I just thought I'd chime in with my new collection, but first a bit of history. This Christmas I was given a truly wonderful gift. When I was younger, my Grandfather had a small model of a steam engine. I was absolutely fascinated by it and had admired it for many years. This Christmas he gave it to me. In looking for information and some parts to restore it to working order, I found out that there are actually a number of different models and styles of these engines. I'm now hooked and as a matter of fact just bought one on Ebay.

That's cool, millster. What kind of train is it? I have a smallish collection of Lionel O27 gauge trains that I inherited from my dad. They range in age from about 1941 to 1987. I have a rare full set of perfect condition silver Union Pacific trains from the early 50's (1953 I think, but would have to look it up again). It's rare because the vast majority of that set were sold with frieght cars, I have the light up passenger cars. Have all the original boxes for them too. The set came with it's own transformer which I have also. Everything works and is in great shape.I also have a coin collection as well. My grandma collected coins for decades without my grandfather knowing much about it. After she passed away, he started finding them and gave them to me since I was interested in coin collecting. I have all kinds of stuff in the coin collection. I'd guess I have about 1,000 coins in all, though I haven't counted them all.And last but not least, I have a small sports card collection too. Mostly hockey cards, but I have some upper deck baseball cards as well from around 1991. Somewhere around 2,000 to 3,000 cards I'd guess.

I collect wildlife carvings, sculptures and castings from around the world. Most are hand crafted by native people. I must have a hundred or so. If I or anyone I know is travelling, I try to get a new one. I also have a record collection(LP's) 800-900 or so. Mostly from the 60's and 70's, all types of music.

Quote, originally posted by Stang2Vibe »That's cool, millster. What kind of train is it?Actually, not a train at all but an actual boiler and steam engine. I do have a long standing love of model trains as well, but sadly my collection is... well, sad. I spent a good part of Christmas day at my Grandparent's running my Grandfather's old Marx (027 guage I believe) trains that he had set up. There's nothing like a classic toy to be certain, quirks and all. Anyway, back to the steam engines. Both of the engines in my collection are from the Jensen Manufacturing Company. One is a style 35 and the one I just purchased on Ebay is a style 60. Strangely enough, both seem to be on the rare side. I've seen little information on the 35 and the 60 I purchased is a limited run factory flaw. The boiler has a solid wall on both ends rather than having a sight-glass for monitoring the water level on the front. While that makes it a little unsafe to run, it does make for an interesting piece. Well, I'll end this book of a post now. Sorry, got a bit carried away. If anyone is interested, here's the link to the Jensen webpage. Hopefully some find this as fascinating as I.http://www.jensensteamengines.com
