Hello, we just purchased an '09 Vibe GT last night. I noticed your group while surfing the web and decided to join so we might get some useful info on our new ride. It is carbon gray with the 5spd auto. The lease on our '06 G6 GTP coupe was up, and decided we needed something a little more practical and fuel efficient while retaining some sportiness. We only have 5 miles on it so far, but hopefully this will prove to be a reliable vehicle for us

Only five miles on it so far, eh? That's about as new as they come. Welcome to this site. You will enjoy communicating with others who have your car and learning how to handle any problems you might have with it. I expect you won't have many - maybe even none at all. Ask anything about your new Vibe, as there is somebody here who knows the answer. You will love your new Vibe. Probably already do. You made a wise choice.

I thought it would have been better than the 2.4L Vibe.I have the carbon gray - only alternatives at the time were silver, white and black - none of which I liked. Good thing my wife didn't want to go with me to buy - we might have had a fight over the color. She would have probably picked white.

Most of our recent miles were around town with short freeway stretches and we averaged about 20 or 21..strictly around town was 18 at best. On the turnpike in cruise at around 70 I could squeeze maybe 28 or 29 on level stretches.
