Fan Switch not working on any setting but Max...

Post by vibeoh4 »

My mom's 2004 Vibe has a weird problem. The fan switch/turn dial/ knob does not work any Low/Med settings - only on max. As excited as I am for my mom's A/C and fan to "Only go up to 11" this seems to be like a faulty switch/dial/knob. I was wondering if anyone else had to deal with this kind of thing or if my assumptions are correct for thinking its the switch. It might be something else, let me know what you guys think.

Yup, resistor is done. Check it for any Toyota part numbers, it will be much cheaper there...Twice this week...

You're right, they are different. The filter we use is from a Tacoma, wonder if the resistor is too. There might be part numbers under the sticker...Pic in the other thread makes it look like a GM resistor, similar to the disposable ones in Grand Ams...

Going by the picture in the linked thread, I'm 100% sure the Matrix one won't work. I'm just wondering if there is another Toyota part that matches...
