RE: HID Help

Post by MountainMax »

I just put three sets of 6000K 35 Watt HID lights in my 09 Vibe, they light up the road awesome, however in the daytime my drl's cause havoc with the lights, they just flicker like cop lights, how can i get around to disabling the drl's? or fixing the problem? for now I just blocked the light sensor to trick the lights to coming on all the time but the guages are hard to see in the daylight like this. what are my options??????

did you put hids in your high beams? drl uses lesser power so that's why the hid's are flickering as it's not enough power to fully turn them on. just cut the wire for the drl...but isn't having hids in high beam a little over doing it? lol nice anyways =P

overdoing nothing, with just lows as hid's when you hit highs they stock lightsts look like yellow candlesticks and do nothing, they are awesome with all 6 same thing on my avalanche, once you change them you will never go without them.

I wish people would read what others are driving before they just post cut this wire... He drives an 09 people. His Drls mod isn't in the same location as the 03-08 vibes.follow my instructions that I posted in this thread and you can control your Headlights via the stalk on the steering column. You can remove the pin from the harness if you have a small sharp "dental tool" but most will just cut it.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=35116
