$15000 to spend on your car...

Post by Kevzaz »

Alright, lets say a guy comes up to you and says 'Nice car... what if I give you 15,000 dollars to do what ever you want to do with it. But it must be on this car. If you use even a penny of it on something else, I will hunt you down.' What would you do?

I would take it and use it for Gas and Maintenance/repairs on that car only until the money is gone.

I would use it as a down payment on a new car and go into the witness relocation program.

I'd wonder why someone is giving me $15k for my Vibe. I'd be leary of an indecent proposal sort of scenario.

Wait, you said "it had to be on this car." Go get a damn ziploc and duct tape the money to the roof of the car!!! That way it will be "on the car." Then, drive to a police station and get the man arrested for threatening you. Then, while he's in jail, steal his wife too!!!

I would have the car converted to a plug in electric hybrid with a small diesel to run the generator. If I went with the type of conversion that maintained the current transmission, I would have that replaced with a 6 speed manual with better gearing to help with mileage. Have a solar array added to the roof to help recharge. Replace as much of the sheet metal as I could with carbon fiber to lighten it up, a set of narrower, aluminum wheels for better mileage and better traction in the snow, a new head unit, and vent visors for the windows.
ex Vibe: 2005 Abyss 2 tone base, auto, power package (33.24 mpg combined)2008 Kia Rondo EX V6 7 passenger Volcanic Red w/ tan cloth interior (26.7 mpg combined) Finally got 30 mpg combined on the Rondo V-6 (10.24.09) Smith Driving
