2005 vibe monsoon sound system left channels sound extremely weak

Post by tngtv »

Hi. I am new here but I have been helped before by searching these forums. My problem: I have an after market radio installed with the factory monsoon speakers. The left channels have no bottom end at all but you can hear the highs through the tweeters by the side mirrors. The right side is fine. I tried another radio that I know works to see if that was the case but it wasn't. I'm pretty sure its the amp, but I can't find a replacement for it. I guess I could check the dealer, but I wanted to check here first. Any help or input is greatly appreciated. Thanks,Jay

Probably is the amp... I had the right channel burn out on mine, the only thing that worked on that side was the tweeter. Unfortunately looks like you'll either have to track down a new amp or you do have the option of bypassing the amp.

before you do that.... put the stocker back in and see if it works correctly. If it does it points to how you wired it.
