Hi:I have a 2005 Vibe with about 65,000 miles. I have not changed the front or rear brakes. I have a scraping noise coming from the rear brakes only when they are applied. I have pulled the drums and there is plenty of thickness on the shoes. This noise seems worst when the vehicle is cold and or it is cold outside. Awhile ago my brother in law borrowed the car, and rode with the emergency brake on. I had heard that this can cause the brake shoes to become glazed. The noise seems to be a common topic on this forum. Is it something that I should just deal with, because it is normal? Should I just change the shoes? Am I missing something? Thanks, Dante
