Hey all, new member here. I'm going to pick up an 09 GT this weekend with manual transmission. The only option is the sunroof. I think I'm also going to buy the rubber floor mats too. This will be a second car that I'm going to use to haul around a new dog I'm getting next week and just for a fun weekend car. My other car is a 2009 Sonata Limited with the V6. It's a wonderful car, but it's an automatic and it's a sedan and there is no way I'm going to cart around a hyper Pit Bull in a sedan. He'll go in the back in a Pet Tent where he can be restrained and not destroy my car. Plus I really miss having a manual transmission so the Vibe will be my "round around" car to have fun in.Anyway, I'm just wondering what you guys paid for your 09 GT's. Apparently there is very little markup in the car and there are no rebates for the 09's I understand. Did you guys pay invoice or full sticker? I would think now with the terrible economy and poor car sales I should be able to get a smoking deal on this thing. It's not an expensive car as it is, but it never hurts to save a couple of grand if possible. So I would really appreciate if you 09 GT owners would chime in and let me know what kind of deals you got. It would be much appreciated. Thanks!
i bought mine back on september and they had the employee discount thing and they priced mine at $19,500 but was able to talked them down to $17,995. mine is an 09 GT automatic with sunroof.
Wow, you guys got some killer deals. I really should have taken advantage of that employee pricing. I wonder if GM is going to do that again? Maybe I should wait? I could save thousands of dollars that way. Otherwise I get the feeling the dealership isn't too eager to discount based on what the salesman said to me; "there really isn't very much markup in the Vibe's but we'll see what we can do." That doesn't sound promising. The model I want is retailing for $21,380. I suspect most of you bought GT models close to that price and you all saved $2,000 to $3,000 off MSRP. That is fantastic, and equates to about a $32 to $48 savings on the payment every month. I'm hoping someone who purchased this month can respond so I know what I can expect post employee pricing deal.

Vibe GT is a nice little "second car to haul the dog around" You must really like your dog.

Now I know the dealer is not likely to be eating that extra 2 grand so it had to be GM promo money somehow. I wonder if there is any hidden promo money on the GT.
