This morning i was looking around on Ebay, when i found a brand new Hooker Header exhaust tip for only $9. Well, i have been considering a stainless steel polished tip because i had alot of other things i wanted to do before i got a total exhaust system. I thought i would throw down the first bid, and see what happens. Well, when i got home from work, i won the tip. I think it looks good, and is nice to have til i get the a complete system. Here's a pic.
I had a custom exhaust put on with a Hooker Aerochamber muffler and I believe the same Hooker tip that you won last fall. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1348I love the muffler (not too loud, but louder than stock), but I cut the tip off a couple weeks ago. It looked GREAT new, but it rusted TERRIBLY. I had even put a coat of wax on it before I installed it. Granted this winter there was alot of salt on our Michigan roads, but this thing rusted very quickly. I hope you have better luck with yours. I had ordered mine through Jegs, and it looked like it had been previously returned by someone. (looked like a clamp had been partially tightened down on it, and the black painted portion repainted) I plan on taking a couple pics of it and sending both Jegs and Hooker an e-mail with the pics attached. I have Hooker Aerochambers on my Vette that have twin 3.5" chromed tips on each muffler, and they still look great! (but then again, they don't see the salt in the winter)Good luckCarl
