with the 09 introducing Traction control/VSC... is not as fun anymore....Our company have a ford explorer 4x4 with tractkion/VSC... man, if it detect any kind of slippage, everything kicks in, no real control here.... is pretty much brainless operation~~~ good for soccer mom, I guess....

I've gotten pretty good at it myself. I was thinking about organizing some kind of get together in an industrial complex and just barbecue hot dogs and snow drift all night long. It would be fun

sadly. i'm not drifting anymore. i've tried a few times to do a little drift in the corners but the snows are good. i need to really push it now to get more than just a little slippage, i don't want to risk it. i need my car too badly. good luck to you all. if you get videos post 'em up!

Just got in from drifting tonight! Here's a vid taken back in November. It was in a large un occupied parking lot taken from a crappy phone camera. I do a J turn, then my buddy in the Jetta tries and is a complete failure hahahttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v..._page

Sorry to say this Amtron, but you ain't got nothin' on Merz and I. We have gotten pretty advanced, e-brake sliding around complex courses, hitting the apex just right. We have graduated past empty parking lots and moved to the intricate courses of industrial parks. I'm thinking we should definitely get some video of these epic events.

I think she's just scared after her incident' LOL.

I'll try and get some different stuff up too when I can. Have you drifted that round about that you slid on that one time? That would look sick, add that in your videos!

Lol no Amtron I have not dared to drift the infamous roundabout. I proceed with caution around those things these days.

Out here in Pahrump ( about 50 miles north-west of Las Vegas) we dont get a lot of snow... So I do some "Dirt Driftin"... Actually brought the rear end into a slide for a good 20 feet... Was sooo much fun... Wouldnt try it in public tho... I'm still learning..Cody

I've lived in the midwest my whole life, and I have to admit I've never even heard of this (at least by term). What exactly does 'snow drifting' refer to? Just sliding around in the snow?

Its better to do it in the snow because its A LOT easier on the tires.
