Lock not working

Post by lovemyraffe »

I don't know if this is in the right section or not. I just picked one, cuz I really have no idea. The driver side rear door lock is not working. Hoping someone will have an idea for me. I can hear it trying to work. I can move the button manually, and randomly it will work with all the others. The cable attached to the button by the handle seems to be ok.Anyone a mastermind on locks?

without pulling the doorcard, it's hard to say..the actuator seems to be moving, so something could have come lose, or something could be jammed up.. Again, without pulling the pannel and looking, it's hard to say..

yeah I think you'll have to pull the panel off to see what its doing, maybe the motor isnt strong enough anymore to fully lock/unlock, not enough volt/amp going to the motor, wire loose, mouse got in there could be a couple things, but popping that panel off shouldnt be toooo bad just watch out and dont break the clips.
