This latest snow in michigan unearthed a new problem with my GT, the headlights were on when I got up that morning. I could not get them off. I thoughtmaybe a sensor was bad and parked it in the garage which was about 45F. after it warmed from the single digit temps to garage temp the lights went off. 2 days pass. I park it back outside for the first time since then and again, LIGHTS ON! This time...Dead battery. HELP?
Is your car a 2003? There are a couple of discussions of this problem with some of the 2003 models. The best way to make sure the lights don't come on is to put the high beams on at night. I haven't been able to get anyone to fix the problem, so I just put my high beams on at night. It seems to only happen when the temps dip below 20F.
