Those who got rebate: Closing tomorrow, Rebate applied B4 or after tax?

My car is in, and I'm signing paperwork tomorrow!! But I've got a quick question before I close. His draft of the settlement statement shows the state tax calculated on the total before the rebate is applied. I was wondering if the rebate should be applied before tax is calculated. If you received a rebate, and have your paperwork handy, could you see if the rebate is taken off before or after tax is calculated? Thanks,CarlP.S. Hi Carl, looking at my paper work. Rebate is after taxes and GM discount before taxes.
