That's a tough decision. The spoiler would look good but serves no real purpose other than cosmetics. I believe you already have the moon and tunes package in your Vibe, so you've got decent audio. If I had your Vibe, I would probably get the ventvisors. I don't think $250 would significantly improve your audio setup.

I think I'm leaning towards the spoiler right now because they are getting tough to find and I'm afraid I will be SOL if I wait too much longer on that.

Looking at these HUs, open to advice... not going above this price right now, actually pushing it a bit considering the install charges I may need to pay. Like the iPod, USB and Bluetooth phone capabilities. Future audio plans will be a good amp, better door speakers, and a sub I can hide in the monsoon factory panel or in the floor, but it will be a while before I can do all that.http://www.crutchfield.com/p_5...wm=clh ... .=5684Edit narrowing down audio options

Follow along with Sublime's install tutorial. Can't go wrong and it'll save you about $100.Out of those 4 HU's, go with the Alpine iDA-X100. Great deck.As for your choice of a chirstmas gift? I'd go with the HU or the spoiler. I went with the HU first on mine. Exterior cosmetics are usually the last thing that gets done on any of my vehicles.

Don't leave out the Alpine 9885/9886/9887 model line, excellent iPod controls.. The XDA doesn't have a CD transport, which is good or bad depending on if you ever want to use one..

Sorry, edited it down to two after researching further, used to be four. Went and saw the Pioneer and the Alpine in person and the controls on the Pioneer were not very user friendly. The single knob for navigation was not designed well and felt really cheap like it could break off.I hear you with the lack of CD capabilities but would like make the transition to mp3. Tell me this, in the future when I get and amp/subwoofer set up, would I ever notice the difference sound-wise by going with mp3 over CD? (i.e. will the quality of the sound be problematic or is the difference inaudible?)Thanks again for your help. Switching over to this thread now that I am focusing on audio...http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=36113

Pioneer 9800 BT - 2 yrs oldThe controls in the Pioneer may be tedious, but I will tell you this the entire HU is nice, well built, and the single knob has been used A LOT and still works like new. When I get some free time I will post some pictures.
