2009 vibe 2.4L oil filter

I did a search for this matter ...but most are for pre 2.4L engine .I have a 2009 Vibe 1sc with 2.4L : same engine as the Vibe awd & GT ....problem is ,for my 2 last oil changes I was recommend 2 different oil filters .....Fram ph3614 & Fram ph 2951 wich is right?what are you using? which brand? (p/n)all the posts I have read are about the pre 2.4L engine and are base & GT cars (all 1.8L ) (1zz & 2zz code engines )thanksDan ,
as long as it has an engine ,ill have fun!

purolator doesnt show one for the 2009, but K&N does. Why not go grab one from a toyota dealer for the 2.4l matrix, be cheap too.

The PH3614 is correct for the 2.4. Personally, I wouldn't use a fram filter, I've read bad things about them. Other options are the Purolator Pure One-PL14477 or K&N - HP1003 or Mobil1 - M1103. I use the K&N if its in stock or the Purolator Pure One, never had a problem with either.

poblem is ,where i live only fram is easy to get .i might get the dealer one ,but it is so small in diameter compared to the fram Dan

I used the Fram PH4386 and it fit perfect the 3614 from what ive read is the wrong filter alot of places like part source and canadian tire will tell you its the right one but its not.Also you can check out this posthttp://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=33885

I cut a fram filter apart one day ( a new one ) and was shocked to see how cheap they were inside, cardboard holding the pleats together on top and bottom. stick with OE!

just a quick update, the Honda oil filter removal tool ( cup shaped item ) works perfect on the 2.4 litre oil filter
