Question - Vibe AWD tires

Post by Robert G »

I just got a Vibe AWD. It came with Goodyear RS-A tires. How good are they in the snow? MY other car has sport tires, so I have a set of snow tires for the winter. Was wondering about the Vibe's tires. Any information or experience would be appreciated.

In my opinion, they are a good all season tire. I had the dealer switch mine from the Continental's to the Good Year's when it came in. I have been very happy with them through the snow and rain. I know there are some others here who don't like them, but for the most part I think people have been satisfied with them.

They aren't the worst snow tire...but by far not the best...I did find myself losing traction more often than I felt I should've...but I suppose for an all-season tire, I couldn't expect a whole lot more...At least they don't disintigrate like the Conti's or just fall apart in motion like the Firestones!

Hi Robert,Although I don't have the RS-A tires on my Vibe, I have driven a Tracer with those tires and they were actually fairly decent. They didn't seem to let go on the snow as easily as the Aquatreds I had on my truck (of couse, it was a rear wheel drive so it doesn't really compare). Decent control but nothing close to actual Snow Tires. Don't expect anything phenomenal, drive careful, should be satisfactory for the Winter.Dave
