3rd winter with car and my 3rd Christmas Season with the lighted wreath. Having a 12V plug in your car has its rewards and yes, my car is shiny shiny clean!
Notice the first picture. Just in front of the passenger side view mirror. I used green wire tie to hold the wreath in place. I also used it to hold the plug and wire up along the front edge and then down the side. I put electrical tape over the connection to weatherproof it. Then ran the wire over the A-pillar and into the cabin. I wrapped that in tape to to match the black of the car. Then tucked it into the side of the dash, and up underneath to the outlet. I'll get some pics of how the wire is ran tomorrow. This is the same wreath I have used for 3 seasons now. 1 strand of white lights (to comply with laws since white is a color that can legally be shown on the front of a car, thus no cop issues). I got the wreath from Christmas Tree Shops and bought the bow and strapped it together. The wreath has a metal frame on it, so I used electrical tape again on all the metal to cover it and keep if from scratching the car.
Good stuff. Anyone ever try to mess with it while you were parked somewhere? Off topic, slightly, but when I lived in Phoenix my roommate and I drove around in this total beater Ford Escort. We wired a big pair of longhorn steer horns to the grill, and on several occasions while we were parked at a store or wherever, someone tried to wrestle them off.
