Where do u service your vibe in Toronto?

Post by elkhaze »

Dealer is expensive...Dealer wants $99 to do oil change, inspection and tire rotation. This would cost me probably $50 at Walmart or Mr Lube. But I am affraid to void the warranty if I take it outisde. Where do you maintain you car? Dealer or WMT/CT/Mr Lube/ your own mech?

they can't void your warranty as long as its properly serviced (using the intervels in the owner manual) and you keep the records of when they were done. I'm not a fan of Wal-Mart or other quick lube places. I've worked at those kind of places and have seem some things lol. I do my own oil changes with records kept at the dealership I work at.

you won't void your warranty by going to other vendors but remember you get what you pay for.i go to the dealer for all my service --- those prices seem about right

You won't void your warranty if you perform your oil changes and bi-annual inspections elsewhere as long as you keep proof of it.My dealer charged me 70$ for my first oil change... just the oil change, nothing else. and another 100$ for the rest of the standard 6 month inspection 2 months later.I'll see about the inspections but there is no way I'll go back for another oil change at the dealer when the garage I'm used to go to charges me 35$. I'll also look to do them myself since the Toyota is across the street and I can get the filter without any trouble. My dealer also called me a short while ago since it had been 3½ months since my oil change and they said I was due... after only 3000km.

I only charge $37.95USD for oil changes here at the subaru dealership I work at now. And when I lived in canada working at Gord Anderson Pontiac GMC, they were about $29.95CAD for them.big city prices I guess.
