Daytime Running Lights

Does anyone know if there are any better pics out there of which wire to cut to disable the DRL'S pin 12. Well if anyone has one let me know. Thanks

HELP!!!!I followed the directions and cut the #12 wire, the DRL are off but now the headlights won't turn on at all. Lows, highs, nothing, the fuses are fine too. I went in thru the gauge side because I was doing the 6 speed reverse beep disable as well. Everything there went fine, the beep is off and I am happy but I am kind of freaked out about the headlights.

reconnect the wires and see if you get your lights backif not check your fuses again.

I was afraid of that, now that I have the dash all back together. I think I'll go in from the bottom this time.

disconnect your battery first before you rewire! so you don't send a surge

Troof, I hadn't set all my presets on the radio yet. LOLAnyways, the wire is reconnected and everything is working like before.

sounds like you cut the wrong wire.... but there is a new way to disable the drls and keep the auto lightshttp://matrixowners.com/?showtopic=79239

That link is for eliminating the flicker with HID's. Just for ****s and giggles I cut the wire just below which should be wire #3. DRL stayed on with this wire cut.

That is the directions I followed cutting wire #12(red/white).

heres 2 red white wires are you sure you cut pin 12?

Yep, 100% certain it was pin# 12. I had the gauges completely pulled out of the dash and the harness easily accessed from the top.

thats wierd.....i just crawled under neath and did it that way but i had no problems.

as your looking up, laying on your back or side, on the driver sidethe drl wire is on the left hand side of the steering collumIt is a red wire with two white stripeshope that helpsThose are the best photos i can take of the area.LOL

Thanks for the picture confirmation. I just looked again and sure enough I have the right wire/pin. I am baffled.
