Cool. Has Chiwetel Ejiofor in it. (The Operative in Serenity). Been waiting to see him in more.Maybe they've seen the previews for the new Star Trek movie and figure the end can't be far behind when something that awful is getting released.

Of course the Dawson Crick Smallvile version of ST would appeal to you The ST trailer reminded me of this: young SG-1 As for 2012....where's Kevin Costner? If anyone can handle a world that is watery, it would be him
eh on the whole 2012 thing. couldn't watch the trailer cause i'm too lazy to get itunes to work in linux. i have seen a few programs on the 2012 thing on various tv channels, and personally i think that the earth will lose orbit around Sol before anything else will happen.and psiu, where did you find that young sg-1? i love sg-1 and that was hilarious. they basically summed up all the plot points! (sg-1 pre-season 8> atlantis > the rest)
Although I am younger, I have been a fan of Star Trek for a long time. I have all the episodes of the next generation, my personal favorite. Call it the geek in me, but I like it.
I think TNG was probably my favorite, Voyager was ok-ish. Never got a chance to see much of Enterprise, DS9 was bOOOOORing, and TOS is definitely a bit cheesy.
That movie looks like it might be good I love seeing other people's perspective on what the world would be like after drastic changes. It's fascinating to me I doubt the world will end. Every year they come up with a new date that the world's going to end and it never happens. Just because some Myan calender stops in 2012 and because some Chinese characters have 2012 combinations of arrangement they think it's the end of the world...I say that the cultures just stopped making their calender....they cant predict forever that would take them too long, As for the Chinese fortune telling characters...add one more character in there and you get thousands of new combinations! Woohoo! Bring it on! If something does happen I'll be on the bike going 180mph until it ends

(removed)...true true! I might not be able to depending on what happens if people are trying to evacuate for some reason. I wont have any road to ride on!!! What ever is supposed to happen I hope it doesn't involve trying to evacuate everyone.I think I'll invite people over to my house or to a park for a barbecue/car show and we will all just eat, talk about cars, listen to Zeppelin and laugh with each other until we all die. That sounds pretty epic to me. What about everyone else?
2012 has significance. That is the year where the Mayan calender comes to an abrupt end. Their calender has been pretty accurate and has led to some psycho's taking it a little far. However the scholors say that that is when the Mayan predicted the end of time.Thank you Discovery channel.

Yeah I saw that on the Discovery channel as well...my logic is that they just randomly stopped. They can't make a calender go on forever. What if they just happened to stop making it or something prevented them from going further on the calender? Not the end of the world, just the end of their calender! (removed)...
