Take it to your dealer. They can adjust it. Its a problem a lot of people have had.Specifically here's a forum thread about a service bulletin on the AChttp://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1315

my wife took our vibe to the dealer the other day for the same problem. I even gave her a copy of the tsb to take to the dealer. Well , 5 hours later they decided i had a freon leak and fixed the a/c. With my Wife being pregnant going into summer without ac was not an option. Since she sat there for 5 hours they did offer to change the oil and detail the car for free for her trouble. Not bad i guess. They were a little suprised by the intake painted cover and exhaust mod to say the least. # of the mechanics wanted to "test drive it" but she thoughtfully declined

no, apparently the leak was so small it took that long to track it down. The toyota shop is across the street from the pontiac dealer so parts were available. Plus they are a part of the same automotive group.

Blows cold air now thanks

Dis this "fix" with mine. NO better. Here in California, guess I'll drive a HOT Vibe for year #2! Just fed up with the lack of a usable a/c on this otherwise great little car...Mike

Take it to your dealer for warranty work. You may have a system leak or defective compressor or a number of other possible defects. Don't 'sweat it'.

I did. He said there was some cable that popped out or something, they popped it in, BOOM, ice cold A/C! It's glorious! You have a warranty for a reason -- don't just accept problems as a loss...get 'em fixed!

I think a lot of people get tired of not being taken seriously when we go to the dealer with a warranty problem. The canned responses like "oh, that's just torque steer" when a car is clearly out of alignment is especially frustrating when you know its not true but you don't have enough technical background or credentials to refute it. So, people give up on all but the most serious and obvious issues 'cause they are sick of the battle. Its part of the reason why I haven't taken my persistant check engine light problem in (yet), expecting them to summarily blame it on the CAI and give me a bunch of grief and waste time that I don't have right now. BUT - one thing this former midwesterner has learned living on the east coast is that the squeaky wheel DOES get the grease! Sometimes you just have to squeak REALLY LOUD! So, at the end of July when I complete a couple of projects I'm going to get this CEL fixed! It could be a long hot summer - I would take the A/C in and let them PROVE that its ok. From the a/c problems I had with my (new) 96 s-10, they take a thermometer and measure the temperature output from the a/c. The, they go to some charts and compare the output temp to the ambient temp and humidity. If its in spec, then they send you on your way, otherwise, they gotta fix it. On the s-10 they mechanics agreed it wasn't very cold but it was as good as it was gonna get. (My father in law worked at the dealer, so they weren't giving me the run around). BUT, we know on the VIBE the a/c CAN get cold.

Lorin -I definitely see your point. I have been having a problem with my steering as it pulls to the right strongly...the first time I went in, they told me they couldn't find anything. Went in again this time, they said it could be the alignment. But since i haven't had a chance to get that fixed...But you're right. You just dropped thousands and thousands of dollars on a car. You expect it to work right. If it doesn't work right, you have every right in the world to complain. And if they give you the run around, go the service manager. If no results, go to the owner. If still no results, go to Pontiac.Definitely don't give up though.
