I had to have the drivers side window run replace as it was falling out. The body shop said it had been modiified from original condition, we let GM know and they were not helpful. They were only worried that we wanted them to pay for it. Now the other side is starting to fall out.Has anyone had this problem? I drive a 2004 Vibe.

If not, they are blowing smoke up your rear... I've seen hundreds of THOUSANDS of mods, of my own, in magizines, on shows allllllll over the place, and one of the LEAST modified things on a car is the windows, both fixed or moving windows... I could understand IF power windows were put in place, but even then, "most" aftermarket power windows work on the origional crank handle and not a single things of the window regulator or mechinism even gets touched.. I think people are trying to pull the wool over you, my friend... I would be after a second opinion... or 3rd or 4th...
What is the run?I had the window bolt recall work done tonight and the regulator needs to be fixed as well. The windows also came loose from the glue on the bracket.I figured all of this before hand because I had to take the panel off to get the window back up. My problem is it's going to cost 330 for them to do it. However, they think that where th regulator connects to the door might be bent so it could cost more. How can that even be possible? Would it be hard to fix on my own.

All of your problem, relates to THIER problem, if the window came off the track, it's VERY likely that it bent something, so, how does that become YOUR problem, IDK... GM is HURTIN, they want to make YOU pay for as many things as possible, even if it's not YOUR fault... keep fighting...
I'll probably just fix it myself. It doesn't look that tough to do and the part is cheap on ebay. I don't know who I would fight about this. I know that it probably has something to do with the thing that keeps the door from swinging open all the way. Other people have just cut the part down and fixed the problem which I will do. That combined with the bolt is the source of my problem and I'm probably not at fault but it's not worth fighting when I can get the part for less then 100 dollar probably. Time is money and I would lose more fighting it.
