Any other 2009 Viber's worried about the OEM battery? When you turn the key, the cold cranking amps seem to be very low on this battery; it cranks in a very low whirl. Anybody else suprised by the "sounds like my battery is dying" experience when turning the key?

Anybody else suprised by the "sounds like my battery is dying" experience when turning the key?i get that a few times...i'm not too worry about that but i do kind of feel like the battery is a bit weak tho. everytime at night when the engine gets warm and the fan turns on the light dims slightly for a fraction of a second...and whenever i open or close my windows at night i can see the interior light dim slightly too...it's kind of annoying lol i was thinking of getting a bigger battery for my car...not bigger i mean more powerful one? any suggestions? lol
Well, guess what lowincash? I had a dead battery this morning. Woke up on a cold morning to have nothing but clicking. When I returned home after work, I could not even get into the vehicle with the remote. After a quick jump start, I took the car back to the dealer, and they made it fail within 2 minutes: turned the lights on and the heat/blower. They put in a new Delco battery with 550 cold cranking amps, compared to the 335? in the original NUMMI battery. I hope that's the end of that. I wonder if there was a bad batch of batteries in the San Fran area?
OK Raven and other battery experts; I really need your help now. I go and check my battery once I get home tonight, knowing that I don't trust anyone with my car. I see that the series #35 is nowhere to be found on the sticker. I go to the Delco website only to see that the 24Rxxx (24 series battery) is for the 2.4 liter Vibe, not the 1.8 liter Vibe that I have. The dealership that dinged up my car on a floor jack when I took delivery......the dealership that failed to take off all of my acid rain damage...... now has put the wrong battery in my car. Do any of you see a problem with me having the 24 Series battery in a car that is supposed to have a 35 series battery? I can write a novel of how stupid GM is since they tried to kill me in July. This is one folly after another. What's next???.... they cut my brake lines and try to finish the job???
If the 24 series is made for the 2.4 liter it is probably because of the higher cranking amps recommended for a larger engine. More cranking amps is a good thing. If the battery fits well and is anchored down properly you should be happy to have received the higher powered battery. If it does not fit etc. then Houston we have a problem.
Hi, I had a similar problem, it got worse and worse. I took the car to the dealer and they replaced the battery it has been fine since. (2009 2.4L about a 100 miles when this happened.

When I get a replacement battery I first measure the space available and then try to get the biggest size that'll physically fit and has the terminals in the right place. The price is usually the same for different sizes within a given battery line but the CCA and A-hr ratings are better for the larger batteries.
