2009 base owners: Does your stock stereo play MP3 discs?

Mine doesn't. I made a cd-r full of mp3, put it in and waited. About 20 seconds later it spit the disc back out at me and displayed a message indicating that it could not locate any playable files on the cd. I was under the impression that it could play mp3 cds. Anyone other 09 base model owners try this yet?Thanks!

I believe Pontiac offers two stereo versions for the base model. It would be an upgrade to get the stereo CD mp3 version, the base model would normally come with the basic stereo CD, without the mp3 capability. If you have the mp3 version, the owners manual may help you in getting your mp3`s to play for you.

The standard 09 Vibe Radio is not mp3 compatible. You can plug an mp3 device via the audio input but it will not read mp3 files.You need the audio option to read mp3.
