Suspension parts from car 2002-2004 can I use for car of 2006?

Post by sammyonliner »

I have Vibe AWD 2006. Can't find some suspension parts from 2005 year model. I think that all suspension parts from 2002 year model may be replace for 2006 year model. Is it true or not? Can you help me with it?

The AWD suspension is different than the base... Althought they look the same, there are differences... as for years, it shouldn't matter the year, just as long as it's a AWD... you can also use the Toyota Matrix's suspension, but again, it needs to be AWD.

In USA you use another way for checking date of production than we are here. You use model year, but we use date of production which you can see on sticker on the driver side on body. For example, Vibe'03 can be produced in October 2002. For you it's Vibe'03 but for us it's Vibe'02 because in my country we use calendar year which start January, 01 and finish December, 31. And it's very important thing because when we are import cars we must pay customs duties and they depend from year of production. And our customs staff check not Title - they check stickers on the body, VIN number etc.

I bought it for my wife My personal car is Mitsubishi Lancer X'08 But I am here because in Belarus only 11 Vibes AWD for 10 mln people and I need information about this car.
