Roofrack Crossbar Removal
Hey Vibe Folks,Quick question for you.To help with fuel economy, I'd like to remove the crossbars from my roofrack. I've removed the eight bolts, but there still seems to be something keeping the crossbars attached. How do I take these things off? I've seen lots of pics of Vibes with these pieces removed, so I'd like to do the same. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

#24 on that listanother reference is http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=11484bottom line is you have to unscrew the antenna, then pry off the caps at the rear, then loosen the screws and slide the crossbars off the back, If you see any difference, and are sure it's from the crross rails, please let us know how much effect it had.

Having a 09 Vibe AWD I removed the 8 bolts under the crossbar and I cannot figure out how to remove the crossbar . ?????????Help ! Please ThanksThe 09 is unlike any I have seen on past minivans I have owned.Each crossbar has 4 screws on the under side of crossbar ,after removing them I still can not get bar out Not wanting to break caps on uprights not sure how they come off ?
