Need Help Replacing a Door

Post by Zer0VIBE03 »

Okay, so I got my check from the Insurance people. They gave me a total of 1629.39 to do the work (Door, Fender, Paint, Labor). Subtract my $1000 deductible and I got a free 629.39 to do this.I am going to go Junk-yarding soon to see if they have a door for me. However.. I can figure out removing the bolts and door hinges, however I do not know anything about removing the (what looks like) wiring harness. Where is that connected at? How do I get to it?Also, where do I have to start un-bolting to get the fender off of a donor car? I am afraid I am going to try and pull something off that isn't completely unbolted. I am hoping to finish everything for under $800. The fender and door will be about $550 themselves. I'll have to find someone to paint it if I can not find the right color parts.TYIA

Fenders bolted and spot welded on? Wiring Harness - take off the interior door panel, disconnect the electronics, and then feed the wires through the boot as you remove the door frame/skin one would think.
