A possible coolant leak.

Post by addev »

HIMine is an silver 06 base vibe (automatic) with 35600 on it. I might have a coolant leak since it is at the low line. I did look the the coolant, it looks pink on paper towel but orange when I shine a light on it. What coolant should I use? to do my test? Or should I just go to the dealer since it is under warranty? I have 400 miles left before the warranty expires. Should the dealer fix it for free? Please adviceThanksRavi

As noted in your other thread, just because it's at the low level doesn't mean you're losing coolant. Has the level changed? If it's remaining at the low level, you're obviously not losing any. Also, engine temps come into play. When are you checking the level? If you're worried about it, take it in. If it's still under warranty you're only losing time.
