I am considering ordering a Vibe GT and would like both the GPS radio and the moonroof, but according to the brochure the moonroof is not a single option but instead packaged in the "moon and tunes" package, which according to the brochure is not available with the GPS radio option. I realize that the moon & tunes package includes a radio upgrade but it seems silly to not have the moonroof as a single option! I would imagine that the GPS and moonroof are two popular options, why wouldn't Pontiac let you put them both on the same vehicle?
This is probably due to production issues. It is easier to have fewer option packages available when building a vehicle.... especially one with this much demand due to factory orders.I would assume the option packages and options alone will be singled out next year when they design and produce vehicles for the next model year or at least until demand subsides.
I bought mine with the moons and tunes because I wanted the upgraded sound. I think that the gps is a gimic and not worth the extra $. Go for the sound! The moonroof is wonderful at cooling the car down.
There are some excellent full color GPS units available these days for 1/3 the cost of the factory installed GPS. I agree that it would be nice to have a built in GPS unit, but not at the price they're charging. My advise would be to purchase the GPS seperately. I've got a $100 hand held unit that works great for what I use it for.

They couldn't do it with just a sunroof. They are not available together because the Moon & Tunes amp is under the passenger seat. The Nav system includes a six disc changer under the passenger seat. Only room for one. The Nav system is only running about 1% of production I think.
I had a moonroof in my previous car, but I went for NAV instead on my Vibe. I really like the NAV system because of the way it integrates with the Vibe's electronics. If I could have had both, I would have got both.

If I don't manage to get a 2003 Vibe, I hope they don't drop the option for the 2004 model year!By the way, Pontiac's web site www.pontiac.com says that factory-installed XM Radio will be on the 2004 Vibe.-ESJ
