Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster, got my vibe late August. Signed the papers on the 27th, picked up the car on the 28th and loving every minute of it! =D (5speed manual base w/air&power package)Got around to debadging my car on the weekend, got the arrowhead off as well but then found two holes in the body! sooooo i had to put it back on for now. Still looks good with the "Pontiac" and "Vibe" now gone enjoy the pictures, freshly washed and quick waxed
debating debadging but I would like to get the dealership badge off what is the best way to do this without harming the paint. What did you use and are there any tricks?
no tricks really, just take your time. i used a hair dryer first to warm up the letters. fishing line to cut the letters away from the foam. (cut the letter away from the foam, not the foam from the body) once that's off just use your tumb to rub off the bulk of it. get some sort of goo/gunk/sticky remover and spray on surface or onto a towel and hold on top for a few seconds to loosen what's left and then use your fingernail to get the rest off. give the car a quick wash and wax the area and you're good to go. took no more then half an hour. like i said the arrowhead was the big pain in the *** and dissapointing when i found out i had to put it back on! lol

I used blue painter's tape to protect surrounding areas & a hair dryer to soften the adhesive. I was able to grab a corner & peel very easily. To remove sticky residue I used a soft piece of t-shirt fabric with a bit of cooking oil to wipe the area. Wash & wax as usual!
Best thing to remove glue residue is WD40 - I have used it many times on paindt and it works like a dream,,,Spray it on let it soak and then come back and wipe off no rubbing at all.Cheers brbo
