My First New Car!!!

Post by Redox600 »

Hi y'all!! New member just checking in to say hi! Just picked up my first new car, a carbon metallic 2009 Vibe 1.8 FWD with the 1SB package. I've only put 400 Kms on the car but am lovin' it so far.Ciao for now.

Welcome Redox. I just went over my 1.8 Navy Blue 2009 vibe with a nice soft towel to take off the overspray from the xzilon paint/fabric application. I then used the xzilon leather treatment the dealer gave me to detail all the plastic/vinyl in the car; it looks great. I'll be riding on the pathetic Goodyear tires for as long as I can tolerate before replacing them with Michelin Pilot Exaltos. My tow bar, cargo net, and bumper protector are all installed; just wating for that elusive cargo cover. See you out there!

I have never been in the first gen Vibe so I can't compare the two. The plastic inside has a 'rubberized' feel to it, so I don't mind it.

welcome! and congrats on your first new car. The Vibe is a great car. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.and it's an entry level vehicle, so you're going to find plenty of plastic. Actually, you'll find a lot of new cars have plastic or plastic type interior bits until you get up to much higher dollar $$. And covered or painted plastic, is still plastic. That's like trying to pass Pleather as the same quality as leather. LOL
