Diehard Platinum $189 48/100mo gtee; for the 36/100mo Kirkland at Costco I paid $55 last October. One comment on that Diehard web page -Waste of Money, October 5, 2008 By TJEsq from White Plains, NY "Car needed a AAA jump start in 50 degree weather with 6 month old battery. Didn't expect that for nearly $200. Manufacturer's battery was still fine after 5 years. Shouldn't have replaced it!" I am sure that is not typical.
