07 passenger seat belt/ air bag system

each time I start my car, this system checks the weight of the front passenger seat to determine whether or not the air bag should be on over there. There is a chime while this is going on. It isn't a big deal with a person sitting there as they buckle their seat belt and it stops, but I transport other items there and sometimes a dog in the back who hits or leans on the seat causing the chime. It is pretty unnerving when it goes off traveling down the highway. Any way to adjust the volume on this chime?
